Dr. Tessa Romano (they/them) is committed to establishing a safe space within their teaching studio in order to allow each individual, authentic voice to emerge and flourish across styles, genres, and communities.

Dr. Romano is currently tenured Head of Voice and Senior Lecturer in Western Classical Voice at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka / the University of Otago in Ōtepoti Dunedin, Aotearoa New Zealand, where they recently won the Excellence in Teaching Award for the Division of Humanities.
